Craemer UK is part of the international Craemer Group, a leading manufacturer and engineer with 121 employees. The business specialises in advanced injection moulding for plastic pallets, storage solutions and waste bins, alongside metal forming for complex components serving a range of industrial sectors.
The Challenge
Craemer UK runs 24/7 across multiple sites and shifts. Keeping a workforce that size trained, licensed and compliant is a serious job.
Training was tracked in spreadsheets, with each manager owning their own training matrix. Some kept theirs in great shape. Others struggled. There was no single standard, and no single view.
Renewal dates were hard to track, which made it difficult to plan refresher training with enough notice. With safety-critical licences such as crane and forklift on the line, an expiry that slipped through could have real operational consequences.
Spotting skill gaps across teams, shifts and sites was just as tough in a round-the-clock operation.
Then there were the audits. Craemer UK works to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, and each needs auditable evidence of competency. Pulling that together by hand was slow and disruptive.
The business needed one consistent, proactive system that would give managers real visibility and take the pain out of audit days.
