Cerulean Aviation provides ground handling services at the busy Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport, supporting cargo and passenger aircraft operating flights across the globe. Their teams are responsible for critical airside operations including aircraft loading and unloading, cargo handling, aircraft movement, and ground support services. Because of the nature of aviation operations, Cerulean must meet strict regulatory, operational, and safety standards set by both aviation authorities and airline partners.
The Challenge
To ensure employees maintained the necessary certifications and training, Cerulean historically relied on manual processes to manage workforce compliance.
Employee certifications were tracked using multiple spreadsheets, while physical copies of certificates were stored and organised manually. As the workforce and training requirements grew, the system became increasingly difficult to manage.
Preparing for audits required significant administrative effort. Tracking certification expirations across multiple documents was time-consuming. Manual data entry increased the risk of errors. And without a centralised platform, gaining a clear view of workforce compliance was challenging.
Cerulean needed a more reliable and efficient way to track employee training, manage certifications, and ensure continuous compliance with aviation regulations.
